1. Purpose of this policy:

Protecting your privacy is very important to us. We are committed to protecting the personal data we receive when providing our services to end users ('you', 'your', 'user') and maintain transparent practices explaining how we collect, process and share that data. By accessing the Cryptopay Trade website you accept this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this, please do not use our site and do not send us your personal data.

2. Who are we?

We are Cryptopay Trade ('we', 'our'), a tool that allows users to buy and/or sell cryptocurrencies with Dominican Pesos or US Dollars through bank transfer in the Dominican Republic. As a fiat-to-crypto on/off-ramp service provider, we receive and process personal data from individuals. We have implemented a comprehensive data protection compliance framework to fulfill our responsibilities to protect personal data and respect privacy rights in accordance with the data protection and privacy laws and regulations of the Dominican Republic, including Law No. 172-13 on Data Protection.

This Policy explains how and why Cryptopay Trade collects and uses personal data when we provide our service as a fiat-to-cryptocurrency on/off-ramp service (Service).

3. How do we protect your personal information?

As you know, transmitting information over the Internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your information during transmission, and any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorized access.

We limit access to your personal information only to those Cryptopay Trade employees who have a business reason to know such information. We continuously educate and train our employees about the importance of confidentiality and customer information privacy. We maintain safeguards that comply with relevant laws and regulations to protect your personal information against unauthorized access.

4. Information we may collect from you.
4.1. Information you provide to us:

(a) You may provide us with information about yourself when you register to use our service, for example, when you provide us with your personal details, such as your name and email address. This also includes information you provide to us when participating in a competition, promotion or survey, and when you report a problem with our Services. The information you provide to us may include your name, email address, phone number, identity document or passport, financial information (bank account), geographic location, personal description and photograph.

(b) We may also need additional commercial and/or identification information from you, for example, if you send or receive certain high-value or high-volume transactions or as necessary to comply with our anti-money laundering obligations under applicable law. We may also receive risk, fraud and credit related data, such as credit history, sanctions and criminal offenses, and information received from various anti-fraud databases and employment background, such as information about previous or current employers, position, salary, employment benefit options, educational background or professional licenses and qualifications.

(c) By providing personal data of any individual (other than yourself) to us during the use of our Services, you warrant that you have obtained that individual's consent to disclose their personal data to us, as well as their consent for our collection, use and disclosure of such personal data, for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.

4.2. Information we collect about you in relation to your use of our Services, we may automatically collect the following information:

4.2.1. Information provided to our support team or user research team and any email address used to contact our support team.

For example:

- Credit reference agencies do not provide us with any personal information about you, but may be used to corroborate the information you have provided to us.

4.2.2. Social media information: If you log in to our Services using your Google account, we will receive relevant information that is necessary to enable our Services and authenticate you. We use this information, along with any other information you provide directly when registering or using our Services, to create your account and communicate with you about the information, products and services you request.

We will use, disclose and store all this information in accordance with this privacy policy.

5. Cookies:

We send cookies to your computer to uniquely identify your browser and improve the quality of our service. The term "cookies" refers to small pieces of information that a website sends to your computer's hard drive while you are viewing the site. We may use both session cookies (which expire once you close your browser) and persistent cookies (which remain on your computer until you delete them). Persistent cookies can be deleted by following the instructions in your browser's help file. If you choose to disable cookies, some areas of the website may not work properly or at all. Cryptopay Trade adheres to the purpose limitation principle and only processes data for purposes related to those specified when collecting personal data. Processing for secondary purposes only takes place when we have a legal basis and/or to provide services. To evaluate our adherence to this principle, Cryptopay Trade considers the relationship between the purposes for which the data was collected and the purposes of the additional processing, the context in which the data was collected, the reasonable expectations of the data subjects, the nature of the data and the impact of the additional processing on the data subjects.

By providing your personal information through the platform, you grant us (including our marketing channels, and other third parties, such as KYC verification partners) consent to contact you via SMS, instant messaging applications, calls and/or email for the purposes specified in this Privacy Policy.

7. Where do we get personal data from?

In most cases, we receive personal data when you register on our Website/Application, and we are likely to receive it directly from you. We may also receive your data from other parties, such as service providers or anti-fraud databases, and other officially authorized public databases, such as KYC service providers, among others.

8. Disclosure of your Information
8.1 We may share your information with selected third parties, including:

(a) Affiliates, business partners, suppliers, IT service providers, KYC service providers and subcontractors for the execution of any contract we enter into with them or with you;

(b) Advertisers and advertising networks solely to select and display relevant advertisements for you and others;

(c) Analytics providers and search engines that help us improve and optimize our site.

8.2 We may disclose your personal information to third parties:

It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and we do not accept any responsibility for them. 10.9. Please note that, before we can process your request, we may need to verify your identity by asking you to provide a copy of an official identification document and/or other similar document.
